Returns, Cancellations & Faulty Goods Policy

Last Updated: 29/07/2026

This Returns, Cancellations & Faulty Goods Policy applies to all products supplied by Cuchulainn Workwear.

Nothing in this policy affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Order Cancellations

Once an order has been placed with Cuchulainn Workwear, it is considered confirmed.

Where an order is cancelled before artwork approval and before production has commenced, Cuchulainn Workwear reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the total order value to cover administration, order processing, product sourcing, supplier cancellation charges and other reasonable costs incurred.

Where artwork approval is required, production shall be deemed to have commenced once the customer has approved the artwork or otherwise authorised Cuchulainn Workwear to proceed.

Once artwork has been approved or production has commenced, branded or customised orders cannot be cancelled, amended, returned or refunded, except where required by law or otherwise agreed in writing by Cuchulainn Workwear.

Where cancellation is exceptionally agreed after production has commenced, the customer shall remain liable for all costs incurred up to the date of cancellation, including (but not limited to):

  • Garments ordered from suppliers;
  • Embroidery, printing or transfer costs;
  • Artwork preparation and digitising;
  • Production time;
  • Third-party supplier charges; and
  • Any other reasonable costs incurred in fulfilling the order.

A cancellation request shall not be deemed accepted until confirmed in writing by Cuchulainn Workwear.

Reporting an Order Issue

Customers should inspect all goods immediately upon delivery.

Any visible damage, shortages, incorrect products, decoration errors or other discrepancies must be reported in writing within seven (7) calendar days of delivery.

Please include:

  • Your order or invoice number;
  • Details of the affected products;
  • A description of the issue; and
  • Clear photographs where requested.

Failure to notify us within seven (7) days may affect our ability to investigate claims relating to shortages, transit damage or other visible issues. This reporting period does not affect any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Branded & Customised Goods

All products that have been embroidered, printed, heat applied, transferred, altered, personalised or otherwise customised are produced specifically to the customer’s requirements.

The only exceptions to our no-return policy are where the goods:

  • Are faulty or defective;
  • Have been damaged prior to delivery;
  • Have been incorrectly supplied by Cuchulainn Workwear;
  • Materially differ from the approved artwork or written order specification; or
  • Fail to meet any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Returns We Cannot Accept

We will not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for branded or customised goods due to:

  • Incorrect sizes selected or approved by the customer;
  • Incorrect products, colours or quantities ordered by the customer;
  • Spelling, names, initials, numbers, logos or artwork approved by the customer;
  • Change of mind;
  • The goods no longer being required;
  • Dissatisfaction with the fit, style or colour where the supplied goods match the order;
  • Minor variations in garment shade, embroidery placement, print positioning, stitch count, dimensions or sizing arising from normal manufacturing and decoration tolerances;
  • Customer-supplied garments proving unsuitable for decoration;
  • Damage resulting from misuse, incorrect washing, tumble drying, ironing, storage, normal wear and tear or failure to follow the garment care instructions.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for checking and approving all order details before production, including:

  • Garment styles;
  • Colours;
  • Sizes;
  • Quantities;
  • Logo positioning;
  • Decoration colours;
  • Names and numbering;
  • Spelling and punctuation; and
  • Artwork.

Artwork approvals are deemed final once approved by the customer.

Cuchulainn Workwear accepts no responsibility for errors contained within artwork or order details approved prior to production.

Manufacturer size guides are provided for guidance only. Sizing may vary between brands and product ranges.

Customers are responsible for ensuring the sizes ordered are suitable for their intended wearers. Sample garments may be requested before placing an order where sizing is important.

Manufacturing & Decoration Tolerances

Due to the nature of textile manufacturing and garment decoration processes, reasonable variations in garment colour, dimensions, embroidery placement, print positioning, stitch count, decoration size and fabric shade shall not constitute a defect.

Shortages & Missing Items

Claims for shortages or missing items must be reported within seven (7) calendar days of delivery.

Claims made after this period may not be accepted where the delay prevents us from carrying out a reasonable investigation.

Faulty Goods

If you believe goods are faulty, please notify us immediately.

Customers must not continue wearing, washing, distributing, altering or otherwise using goods after an alleged fault has been identified, as continued use may affect our ability to investigate or remedy the issue.

No refund, replacement, credit or remake will be provided until Cuchulainn Workwear has had a reasonable opportunity to inspect the goods and investigate the claim.

Where we determine that goods are faulty or have not been supplied in accordance with the agreed specification, we may, subject to the customer’s applicable legal rights:

  • Repair or rework the goods;
  • Replace the affected goods;
  • Provide an appropriate credit; or
  • Refund the affected goods.

For business customers, Cuchulainn Workwear reserves the right to offer repair, replacement or reworking as the primary remedy before any refund or credit is considered.

Worn or Used Goods

Goods that have been worn, washed, altered, decorated by a third party or otherwise used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them may not be accepted for return or replacement unless required by law.

Return Authorisation

No goods may be returned without prior written authorisation from Cuchulainn Workwear.

Where authorised, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number together with return instructions.

Goods returned without a valid RMA number may be refused and returned to the sender at the sender’s expense.

Where a returned item is found not to be faulty or does not meet the conditions of this policy, the customer may be responsible for all inspection, collection, return carriage and redelivery costs.
